Since 1946, when James Arland DeHart started a sheet metal and plumbing business in the family garage, DeHart Inc. has grown and prospered on a foundation of industry excellence.
From its humble beginnings, DeHart Inc. has expanded into the largest provider of plumbing, heating and air conditioning services in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties by maintaining a high standard of work ethics, professional performance, craftsmanship and a commitment to exceptional service. From our 20,000 square foot facility on Bitritto Way in Modesto, DeHart Inc. offers comprehensive plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration services to the community we love.

Rod DeHart
PresidentRod joined the company in 1983. He spent the first few years working full time and going to vocational trade school at night. Over the years, Rod grew the company from one employee to over a hundred employees and became the president in 1988. During his free time, Rod enjoys golf, traveling, water sports and snow sports.
Steven Litt
Residential and Commercial HVAC Sales ConsultantSince 2010, Steven has worked for DeHart Plumbing, Heating, and Air as a Residential and Commercial HVAC Consultant. Prior to joining the team at DeHart, Steven was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and working as a General Manager for a high-end residential painting company. In July of 2011 Steven successfully completed schooling and HVAC certifications through DeHart Technical School. Steven enjoys the California weather, spending time with his family, cooking, and golfing.
Rodney DeHart
Residential and Commercial HVAC Sales ConsultantRodney has been working full-time for DeHart Inc since early 2011 but spent many summers and winters between schooling working for the company. A graduate from California State University Chico, Rodney majored in Construction Management and minored in Business Administration. Upon completing college, he was a Manager at Coit Restoration in Modesto. Rodney’s free time consists of traveling, playing golf, slalom water skiing, and snowboarding.
Technical School
In March 2010, we opened the DeHart Technical School in order to provide an opportunity for students to earn their NATE certification, get hands-on HVAC/R training by industry leading professionals and launch a career in a field that’s always in demand.
