The Heart 2 Heart awards were established to recognize and celebrate the contributions of individuals who have made a profound impact on our community through their inspirational work

Join us in CONGRATULATING the 2022 award recipients in the following categories: 

 

Citizen of the Year

The LSC Citizen of the Year is awarded to an individual who displays their love of the community through their personal and professional service in the community. This is a combination of volunteer work, civic engagement and participation in creating change and inspiring people in the community. They are involved in community efforts and serving others.

Erica Ayala - Patterson, CA

City of the Year

City of the Year nominees are cities within Stanislaus County that have done the following: Carried out the vision, mission, and values of Love Stanislaus County, hosted a volunteer day that included multiple sectors of the community, scheduled and held committee meetings regularly and throughout the year, were respectful and collaborative with other cities, and followed all parts of the LSC Charter and communicated (emails, training, meetings, etc.) effectively with Love Stanislaus County throughout the process.

Volunteer of the Year

The LSC Volunteer of the Year Award is awarded to an individual who displays their love of the community through their personal and professional service in the community. They are involved in community efforts and serving others.

Megan Shandel - Waterford, CA

Project Leader of the Year

The LSC Project Leader of the Year Award is awarded to an individual who displays their love of the community through their service as a project leader for their city’s volunteer day.

Greg Shipman, Love Oakdale - Oakdale, CA

Nonprofit Organization of the Year

The LSC Nonprofit of the Year Award is awarded to a nonprofit who displays their love of the community through their personal and professional service in the community. They are involved in community efforts and serving others in an above and beyond manner.

Jessica’s House - Turlock, CA

Business Organization of the Year

The LSC Business Organization of the Year Award is awarded to a business or organization who displays their love of the community through their personal and professional service in the community. They are involved in community efforts and serving others in an above and beyond manner.

Modesto Subaru

School Administrator of the Year

The LSC School Administrator of the Year Award is awarded to a school administrator that has done the following: Carried out the vision, mission, and values of Love Stanislaus County, focused on student needs as a priority, communicated effectively with LSC staff on needs, events, and activities and how LSC could assist, and performed from a solution-based mindset on serving students.

John Luis, PACE - Modesto, CA 

School Educator of the Year 

The LSC School Educator of the Year Award is awarded to a school educator that has done the following: Carried out the vision, mission, and values of Love Stanislaus County, focused on student needs as a priority, communicated effectively with LSC staff on needs, events, and activities and how LSC could assist, and performed from a solution-based mindset on serving students.

Brian Hughes, Spratling Middle School

School of the Year

The LSC School of the Year Award is awarded to a school that has done the following: Carried out the vision, mission, and values of Love Stanislaus County, focused on student needs as a priority, communicated effectively with our staff on needs, events, and activities and how we could assist, and performed from a solution-based mindset on serving students.

Elliott High School - Modesto, CA 

School Classified Professional of the Year

The LSC School Classified Professional of the Year Award is awarded to a school classified professional that has done the following: Carried out the vision, mission, and values of Love Stanislaus County, focused on student needs as a priority, communicated effectively with LSC staff on needs, events and activities and how LSC could assist, and performed from a solution-based mindset on serving students.
